Bryan Baker is kind and good-natured, with a weakness for sweets. He's been indulging more often than he should lately, turning to comfort food and focusing on work to keep his mind off a recent breakup. When he injures his back, his doctor reads him the riot act and he agrees to see a personal trainer to get in shape. When he meets Melanie, he thinks she is great, but knows there is no way the pretty new personal trainer would ever look at him twice. But she does. Melanie isn't put off by Bryan's teddy bear figure at all. He's handsome and nice and she wants to get to know him better. But his ex, Amy, is a new member at the gym and she doesn't hesitate to point out that it's against the rules for staff to date clients. And when Melanie hires Bryan to design her a house, it becomes even more impossible because Bryan has the same policy for his clients. Can they find their way to happiness somehow? **Includes two of my favorite recipes!

2⭐️ This is fat phobic garbage. I made it 6% of the way through the audiobook, which is only 3 1/2 hours and decided I‘m done. Our fat character is a guy and for the first however long I‘ve listen to now 30 minutes 45 it‘s just he‘s so down on himself and his weight and he ends up twitching his back. his brothers a doctor. Who says the only way you‘re going to get better is to lose weight. Physical therapy is fine but you have to lose 15 to 20 ⬇️

LibrarianRyan pounds. Go see this personal trainer. Our main character thinks how can I go see this personal trainer they‘re just thin and beautiful and no one‘s gonna want to see me as I‘m fat and ugly and I don‘t wanna be seen in a gym like that and I just I‘m done . I wanted to like this book because I was enjoying the narrator but as a fat individual I don‘t need to hear a book with her down on themselves over and over and over again if it could‘ve been 1y
LibrarianRyan hey you need to exercise for muscle, gain or tone but no you need to lose weight and I‘m I‘m done this is not a holiday book I feel like finishing. 1y
5feet.of.fury That one‘s always a deal breaker for me too, the endless negative self talk, I feel like the negativity will seep in to my internal monologue. 1y
