A beautiful portrait of mothers before they were mothers. These writers captured the spirits of these women before motherhood changed their identities and lives, beautiful pieces of children seeing their mothers for the women they were before, knowing where their lives would take them. With photographs throughout. I loved the diversity of the writers as well. This was such a tender reading experience. #bookreview
