I‘ll be honest with y‘all: rage is my primary emotion today. I‘m really, really glad I got rice cakes on my bike ride so I could make gungmul tteokbokki, the dish J. Kenji López-Alt calls “one of the simplest, most comforting Korean staples.â€
I‘m still angry, but the prep WAS simple and I AM comforted now I‘ve eaten this super-delicious meal. It‘s every bit as spicy-sweet and chewy and glorious as I dreamed it would be. More, please.
