In this "instantly cinematic and completely compelling" thriller (Hank Phillippi Ryan), Detective Betty has only two weeks to take down her deadliest rivalthis time for good. The terrific adrenaline punch youd expect for the grand finale of Kathleen Kents Edgar-nominated trilogy. Julia Heaberlin Things are looking up for Detective Betty Rhyzyk. Shes settled into a happy marriage and been promoted to Sergeant in the Dallas Police Department. The matriarch of a ruthless cult, Evangeline also happens to hold a personal vendetta against Betty. So who better to draw Evangeline out of hiding? Bettys got two weeks to catch her. Or else. "A police procedural like none youve ever read." Hank Phillippi Ryan A thrilling last dance with the formidable Betty Rhyzyk. Steph Cha? Detective Betty is one of my favorite queer characters in crime fiction. The Pledge is fiery and propulsive.Kristen Lepionka

I haven‘t been doing a lot of reading lately and my concentration is crap so I did a quick re-read of The Dime before tackling the next 2 books. This would be more properly characterized as a trilogy as there is a continuous storyline that runs throughout. I don‘t recommend reading them as standalones. Detective Betty is a badass narcotics officer in Dallas. Drug cartels and a crazy religious cult factor prominently. 👍🏼

TrishB They sound good 👍🏻 2y
MicheleinPhilly @TrishB I think you‘d enjoy them. 2y
Bookzombie @MicheleinPhilly I haven‘t read the third one yet, but was sad to see this is just a trilogy. 2y
