The Poems of Hart Crane
The Poems of Hart Crane | Hart Crane, Marc Simon
1 post | 1 to read
This important new work is destined to become the authoritative edition of Hart Crane's poetry. Simon relies on Crane's original documents and variants for a text that comes closer to Crane's own intention for publication of his poems than previous editions.

#poetrymonth the somewhat forgotten modernist . He was an admirer of T.S.Eliot , Crane had the most exacting standards for his poetry, he had limited success in his lifetime. He was known as a wild man among his writing friends, he would go on wild drinking & sex benders,& sadly committed suicide jumping from a ship into the Gulf of Mexico at the age of 32.His reputation climbed after his death. One of those times when genius is close to madness.
