The Weather Book Study Guide and Workbook
The Weather Book Study Guide and Workbook | Michael Oard
1 post | 1 read
Learning about the weather is fun! Knowing more about weather patterns will forever change the way you look at the sky or follow the latest forecast. Michael Oard, a former meteorologist with the National Weather Service, explains various weather phenomena from a biblical standpoint. This study guide takes you through each main idea of the Weather Book, which includes the following topics (in addition to others): How clouds form and how to identify the different types. The difference between a warm and a cold front. How to survive in dangerous weather situations. How hurricanes and tornadoes are predicted. What Noah's Flood and the Ice Age have in common. How to read a weather map.

Book #1: Decided to take a break from Dickens to read a book from my childhood when I wanted to become a meteorologist (and almost did). I'm really glad I read this before I gave it to my nephew as this book is ridiculously inaccurate. I'd call it barely scientific as it is anti-evolution & climate change. It is very outdated, but I feel that the author wouldn't change his views even if he wrote this book today. Not even donating this. #readathon

LauraBrook Some books are just made for the recycling bin. Sorry this was such a bummer! 2y
Morr_Books @LauraBrook Yep. That is what I did. I don't think I've ever done that before. 2y
iread2much That‘s so sad, I hate to think of all the good books that could have been published in this books place. I hope your next read is better! (edited) 2y
