so-so

This one was referenced in comparison to Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary. A coming of age story of two childhood besties who are from the same Jewish community but attend different schools. Things get complicated when one attends the same school as the other leading to competition, jealousies, and mean girl behavior. I tried to like this one but it started off slow in the beginning and couldn't keep the momentum in the second half. Just meh for me.
