The Look of a King
The Look of a King: Pillars of Peace: Book I | Tom Dumbrell
2 posts
Two young men. One with a dark past, the other with a bright future. Cyrus is a storyteller frustrated by the mundane trappings of village life, while Prince Augustus struggles to meet high expectations after an upbringing of royal privilege in the bustling capital. As both try to forge their own paths, a royal assassination unexpectedly closes the gap between them. The nation of Easthaven is thrown into war with their oppressive neighbours, and so begins a conflict from which neither can walk away. Will a young prince finally measure up to his destiny? Will a storyteller create a legend of his own? Cyrus and Augustus's lives may seem worlds apart, but perhaps they aren't so different after all...

Twainy @AllDebooks .. I need to buy a lot less books. Do you have a large collection of physical books? 2y
AllDebooks @Twainy Ha!!! Way too many, I'm too weak to resist. I have had a self imposed ban this year, using the library more. Saying that I've still bought 2 or 3 a month. Which is better than 20 (for my bookshelves, not me, the author or publisher) 😅 2y
Twainy @AllDebooks I wannabe like you!!! I need to stop! Or slow down dramatically. I‘ve read 237 books this year. 118 are library books. Sigh … I thought it would be more. It‘s half though so it‘s not as bad as it could be. The rest I own or are ARCs. A chunk are Indie books I read for two readathons. I just started skipping my subscription boxes if I‘m not interested in the book & pended my BOTM. I see Audible just texted me a sale … 😩 2y
