Branching Chaos
Branching Chaos | Nathan Nish
1 post | 1 read
Presents the digital novellas The Dreary House, A Place to Stay and Chance of Tragedies by Nathan Nish as one book. Anna, a student, discovers she is involved in a quantum nightmare as an experiment in multi-dimensional realities with her project due near the end of the school year. She is also assigned to give a tour to a new student for an extra-curricular condition to graduate to work with her dad at a laboratory. She chooses to give the tour rather than turn in her project after speaking with her teacher. During a tour of the school library, shadows flicker and shift. The tour ends early, leaving her alone in the hallway. Lance, sharing a locker with his friend, speaks with her. Anna begins the day again in class. This time, the conversation with her teacher yields an extension on her project. Through shadows stretching to become something else, a house interrupts her path in the slightest. The door shuts behind her after entering the house to ask for help. Moments repeat during a storm and a hotel is passed on a road trip with Lance and a couple of friends. The car dies and she wakes to the others deciding what to do. They walk back to the hotel, parting ways to rest in rented rooms. Wandering, Anna and Lance manage to find each other as shadows continue to grow around them.

Pickpick

Branching Chaos by Nathan Nish is a collection of three novellas, each one more twisted than the last!

This is a brilliant example of a book that you need to read more than once to really understand this network of nightmares.

If you enjoy wild psychological tales that will first frustrate you, then totally captivate you, and then astonish you, then look no further!
