Enjoyed the second book of the O'Sullivan series and glad that there is a resolution of the first book's cliffhanger. Finley is helping a wealthy woman claim her innocence of.murdering her much younger husband. She is also trying to solve the murder of her own husband, who was killed by an influential businessman from Nashville. Quick read and a solid thriller.

Pickpick

Second in the Finley O‘Sullivan series, this was my first to read, but I had no trouble catching up. Finley, as a legal investigator in Nashville, must determine if a wealthy, influential businesswoman murdered her husband (as all signs point to), or is there more to the story than the evidence indicates. I have read several of Webb‘s books, and while they tend to have their darker moments, they are also very well-written, smart and engaging. 🔻

robinb This one also doesn‘t disappoint. Featuring a tough, fearless heroine, Finley is also emotionally vulnerable which imbues her with an all too real humanity. Webb is solidly a favorite of mine in the thriller realm. 4.25/5⭐️ 1y
