Having lived in Maine all my life, I‘m no stranger to the threat, experience, and consequences of a wicked blizzard. But having been born in 1970, I‘ve been on the upside of meteorological, communication, and snowplow advances that largely keep these storms from being as deadly as they once were. Had a few issues with the craft of the telling, but overall the book‘s a good way to feel the 1952 storm - and a reminder to put a blanket in my car. ❄️
Amiable As a fellow New Englander, I‘m with you on the blanket (and the ice scraper and the boots) in the car! 13mo
