This series is really fun and should be getting more attention. Cleo is 15 and would rather skip school and practice her slingshot when she and her best friend stumble into a tomb. Flash! - she‘s in space in the far future, and the subject of a pretty imposing prophecy. Oh, and talking cats are in charge.

Really enjoying this MG graphic novel series that I found for kiddo and she insisted I read, but I‘m so tired of my library getting partial series and then having no intention of buying the final book! Luckily I have cards at another single library and one other library system, and I found the sixth book. So ridiculous.

This was such a great read and the illustrations were amazing! So our little 15 year old Cleopatra stumbles inside an unknown tomb and is whisked away to the future in space to save the world. There she meets new friends and kicks butt with her ray gun and combat. The story flowed well throughout and how could you not love talking cats?!?! Great for kids who love sci fi, space and a little history (Egyptian that is).

Fun! What if Indiana Jones was a kick-ass girl taken from the past and flung into the distant future and destined to save the current world from the big bad? You have Cleopatra in Space. I devoured it quickly and immediately ordered the next volume.

My only (minor) quibble is how quickly and easily Cleo adapts to her new world from ancient Egypt. I mean she is taken from all her friends and family and told she can‘t go back and she‘s like 🤷‍♀️.

I tried to renew these again and my library was like, “No can do, you book hoarder. You‘ve done this too many times and I want my books back.” Now I need to read or return so I‘m going to attempt to read!

(I‘ve been listening to Phoebe Robinson narrate her book and now her voice is narrating my life. I could even hear her inflections in my voice when I was reading my kid her bedtime stories.)

Well, this was fun! Teenage Cleopatra (yes, that one) is zapped into the far, far future where she finds she is prophesied to save the galaxy. She enrolls in Yasiro Academy, immediately gets detention, hates algebra, and fine-tunes her mad combat skills. I love the art! Plus: there are some awesome cat characters 😸Definitely reading more in this series to see where Cleo ends up next and whose butt she is kicking when she gets there!

Cool premise--A fifteen year old Cleopatra travels into the future to save the world.

Cool graphics and and an Indiana Jones vibe will appeal to younger readers who don't have the attention span for a novel.

I have enjoyed other graphic novels, but this one wasn't my cup of tea, possibly due to Cleo's disdain for anything academic. I can certainly see its appeal, though.

I love Mike Maihack's artistic style, but hadn't picked up his comics before. I chose this as my #AllAgesComic for the #ReadHarder2017 Challenge. This was so much fun! Cleo (as she prefers to be called) is a kickass girl who isn't afraid of a challenge. Unless that challenge is academics...
