First bail of the readathon. One of my goals for this year is to clear out some space on my shelves. This was an ARC from 2011, and I have no idea why I‘ve been carting it around from house to house.

I'm a little torn on how I feel about this book. At first I was more concerned about domestic violence than ghosts, but it was indeed a ghost story. However, I was a little bothered by the vast amount of characters who had the "gift" to see ghosts. The ratio was a little high in my opinion. The different perspectives worked for the most part, but it was a little jarring at first. Overall, I liked this book but wasn't necessarily frightened.
"When he died...part of her soul faded away. One day she was something else to look at in full bloom, and the next she was dropping one beautiful petal at a time until all her heart was gone like a bunch of spent tulips."
