Litsy, I went to the library today because I don‘t have enough neglected books I own staring me down at my place. Excited to see a new Gregory I went to self checkout where it says the book is on hold please see front desk. I took it there where the lady says yes it is on hold, where I let out a playful,”booo.” But then she says we have this finders keepers rule here, I‘ll check it out to you. The Good Samaritan in me was about to say no, no, 👇🏼

Reggie no. I mean we all know what it‘s like to wait on a hold. The new Abby Jimenez, I‘m like #104 in line. But out of nowhere this greedy book vampire hidden in my heart took over and jumped out and made me say Thanks so much. AND I TOOK IT! I felt like the guy in the upper right, the blood being from the person who was on hold. Am I inviting bad book karma????!!!! 4h
DGRachel Unless you took it from the holds shelf, then no. No guilt. The book gods were smiling on you. 😘 4h
Reggie @DGRachel It was not, it was on the new book shelf. Lol, thanks! 4h

Ruthiella Sometimes libraries do a skip the line thing with some copies. So no guilt-score! 2h

If you‘re expecting Midnight Library level writing, you‘re going to be disappointed. The writing is similar to his style in The Humans, which makes for odd transitions, a choppy story about all the mundane details and a backstory about everything. I pulled a few great quotes, but other than that it was just a weird book. Book #104 in 2024

22 #104 The final book of the year and goal of 104 books in 2022 met…barely. 😂 This book…I enjoyed because I enjoy Pam Jenoff. BUT it didn‘t feel very well researched. The protagonist seems whiny and immature. And she does some bonehead things. But I‘d still read the next installment if there is one. Happy new year!

Just finished listening to the audiobook version of this book. How I enjoy listening to Neil Gaiman! And, of all the Marvel characters, Thor is my favorite. The description of the book said he was powerful but not the brightest, but I enjoy his adventures anyway. And Loki - what a mischief-maker! As you can tell, I really enjoyed this book! #104 #BookSpinBingo 24 #BFC21 #6 #TAILSandTSLESforADULTS #31 #THEROYALREADATHON HSREADATHON

A strong start to a new run. The art style took a little getting used to, and there are some writing quirks that reminded me this was not a Wilson-written Ms Marvel. A bit darker than I'm used to with Ms Marvel. I'll have to see how it progresses.

(quarantine book #104; read a book in one sitting)
