julieclair And then Helena asks Mildred to write to Rocky about the furniture, and Mildred actually goes ahead and does it! Meanwhile, Helena wonders if Julian will take her out for a drink. Honestly, I just wish I could shake some sense into Mildred. I love her dearly, but she needs to develop a spine 2y

AnneCecilie If the retirement plan just includes reading, I‘m in. Like everyone else have already said, Mildred is just too nice. How does she get involved in all this stuff? 2y

sarahbellum I desperately wanted to sit Mildred down and explain what boundaries are and why she needs to start creating them! 2y

eeclayton I agree. Everyone is horrible in this book, and Mildred really needs to learn to say no. 2y

julieclair @Crinoline_Laphroaig I agree. I will be very disappointed if Mildred doesn‘t learn to stand up for herself by the end of the book. 2y
