I don't know many comics but I do know this moving graphic novel about a granddaughter who learns about the Holocaust through her grandmothers experience is worth a read.

Then I remembered this one about the story of Singapore told through the drawings of a fictional cartoonist. I've posted about it before but needs must. 😆Both the artwork and the telling of history are stellar.

Called HellBlazer, they follow a demon exorcist called John Constantine trying to get his way back into heavens good graces, but unlike the movie he is very English, less tortured & more smart assed.👿👻🖤

Taiwanese graphic novelist and illustrator Jimmy Liao writes these short and emotional stories. His most famous may be A Chance of Sunshine which was made into a movie called Turn Left, Turn Right (which is the Chinese name of the book). I love his whimsical illustrations and the somewhat melancholy feel of his graphic novels.
Life's tough for Maggie: her mother's abandoned the family, she's starting high school after being homeschooled for years, she's grown up the only girl in a family of boys, and she's trying to make new friends. Oh, and a ghost is haunting her. I haven't seen many posts for this one so I think it qualifies for #lesserknowncomics #fallintobooks
