pickI enjoyed this book. I liked how all of the characters came together at the end and I really enjoyed the healing process/character growth that they went through. I am not sure how much of the Bangladeshi culture is accurately represented in the book, but I liked the story overall.

This was a story Clara Luna who was not happy with her life. One day, she received a letter from her grandmother inviting Clara to stay with her in Mexico for the summer. Being in a small village with little electricity, no plumbing, hearing Mixteco, and her grandmother being a healer would change Clara.
It was a little slow at first but I was engrossed the 2nd half of the book. 4⭐️
