Pickpick

When I initially finished this book, I thought how fucking bleak, but I noticed as I finished each section throughout the week, I‘d find a bit of hope the next day. Call me a crazy optimist (some people have), but I do believe that the moral arc of the universe goes towards good (or justice as Dr. King said), and even though that may not have been the author‘s intention, that is what I choose to believe. Godspeed David and Charlie!

BarbaraBB Wow. What a wonderful review. 2y

riversong153 I‘ve never read anything by this author. I‘ve heard they write notoriously depressing books. I don‘t think I could handle it. 2y
Cathythoughts I love your review 👍🏻❤️ I‘m looking forward to reading this one 2y
squirrelbrain Fab review @Megabooks - looking forward to discussing further… 2y
TrishB Great review. I agree there was a lot more hope in this than ALL. I thought it was more of a warning? See what happens when we trample on peoples human rights. But it has endless interpretations. She is a very clever author. 2y
Megabooks @riversong153 yeah, I like emotional books *when I can handle them* 2y
Megabooks @Cathythoughts I can‘t wait to discuss it with you! 2y
Megabooks @squirrelbrain thanks! Did you see the convo I had with @reggie on my last post about this book? 2y
Megabooks @TrishB just started ALL! I can agree it‘s a warning, especially in regards to Charles in book 3 and how he was the architect of his own doom. 2y
youneverarrived Brilliant review! I bought it when it first came out but I‘m building up to actually starting it 😆 (edited) 2y
squirrelbrain Yes, I saw that @Megabooks - all very interesting and fascinating to see different viewpoints and opinions. 2y
Megabooks @youneverarrived thank you! I think you will enjoy it, but it is a long, emotional, thoughtful book, so probably best when you have the mental space/time for it! 2y
