Pickpick

First book of 2020! While I started this #audiobook a couple weeks ago, I finished it while organizing my pantry. Sobbing and organizing, both good for the soul! #MountTBR #readmybookshelf

Louise “Sobbing and organizing”— that sums up many people‘s New Year very nicely. 😂 4y

"Children, Miss Marple reflected gratefully, never changed."

While I wait for the next Flavia book to arrive, I decided to become reintroduced to the first spunky lady detective to steal my heart. I was enchanted with Miss Marple as a middle schooler, and read almost every Agatha Christie book in the local library. Middle school was a long time ago though... so it's time to read them again!

KCorter I have three beautiful collections of Christie on my bookshelves begging to be read, so it's time to make good on my #ReadMyBookshelf and #RereadaChildhoodFavorite #bookishnewyearresolutions. 7y
KCorter Since the title was based on "The Lady of Shalott", I figured I might as well get around to reading the poem. Especially if I plan to read Anne of Green Gables this year. How have I gone this long without reading more than excerpts of Tennyson?! The poem was lovely, and I am so glad I rented an entire collection! 7y

KCorter @Gina That is a great one! I'll have to add it to my list of rereads. I am biased toward her short stories, but that's probably because I read that collection countless times. 7y
Gina @KCorter I read every Agatha Christie book I could get my hands on in high school. I was/am so in love with her. Did you know she disappeared for a while and they found her later at some hotel confused as to who she was. I read about it years ago so I don't remember details but check it out. 7y
KCorter @Gina Me too! Agatha Christie is perfection. I'll have to research that. There is a Doctor Who episode based on that account, actually. As a fellow Christie fan, you'll probably enjoy it! "The Unicorn and the Wasp", season 4, episode 7, released 2008. 7y
Gina @KCorter NO WAY I am a total DR. WHO fangirl! SWEET! You Rock! 7y
KCorter @Gina I KNEW IT! hahaha. We Whovians can recognize each other through all time and space. 7y

KCorter @Gina Show that pride! I got a TARDIS wallet for my birthday because it is...*wait for it*... bigger on the inside. 7y
