White Teeth | Zadie Smith

The opening lines of Adele's #RumorHasIt reminds me of one of the relationships in one of my favorite books of the year. In fact, Smith's stunning debut is brimming with unreciprocated love & people who seem to find themselves in relationships for all of the wrong reasons. I can't recommend this one highly enough. It has everything you could ask for from a novel.

cobwebmoth I tried to read NW, but I couldn't get into the writing style. I'm kind of scared to try another one of her books now. 5y

vivastory @cobwebmoth This is the only one I have read by her. I have heard that some of her books aren't quite as good. General consensus seems to be that White Teeth & On Beauty are the best. I have read a few of her essays & thought they were brilliant, too. 5y

vivastory @Reviewsbylola I've heard some not so great things about her other books, but I think this, On Beauty & Feel Free (essays) are generally considered her best. 5y
