Emily is an interesting character who doesn't quite fully materialise on the page whilst other characters flit through the story as mere vessels for Emily. Wheaton makes the Sci-fi writer mistake of getting too smart in places meaning I lost interest and the story never quite recovers.

Dexter Morgan is one of my favorite book/tv characters. He isn't your quintessential hero, and he doesn't #SaveTheWorld in the way you'd expect a good guy to. He's a bad guy, but a Robin Hood of sorts. That's right, he's serial killer with a moral code; he only goes after the bad guys. 🤗💉🔪❤️
