It is a truth universally acknowledged that I love a book that does exactly what it says on the tin. There are a few clunky moments, naturally, but overall the zombies are woven in far more smoothly than you might expect. I particularly enjoyed the expansion of Lady Catherine de Bourgh as a notorious highly-skilled zombie assassin. I got this one out of a little free library and have to say there is a reason with there is an offer sticker on it. This is supposed to be the story behind the dark lady of Shakespeare‘s sonetts m, but with zombies. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ The only good things in this novel are the original quotes of his plays and their usage for the dialogues in the text. I am torn between So-So and Pan.
The author uses original quotes by Shakespeare at the beginning of each chapter - sometimes they go well with the chapter, sometimes they don‘t.
I hadn't watched since it first came out. Had forgotten how good it was.

And Lizzy. Such a badass. ⚔️🎩🧟♂️

This SEEMS like it should be a story right up my alley - zombies, a groundhog‘s day scenario, and a mystery at its heart - but I just couldn‘t get through it! It‘s supposed to be short but I‘ve been trying to read it for weeks now and I‘m only at 35% 😭. It just doesn‘t seem to go anywhere. I‘ve read and enjoyed this author before, so I‘m just going to chalk it up to wrong book at the wrong time.
Read this one poolside. It took a minute to get into it, but ultimately I really liked it.
This was enjoyable! I rooted for both R and Julie the whole time. A quick listen too!
