pickI read this to my 7 and 9 yr old daughters. It's one of my 9 yr old's Battle of the Books books. It was a little "heavy" for bedtime reading; war is not s pleasant subject. But Ada's story was really compelling. My daughters couldn't believe what she had to endure. It was pretty awful. But we all liked the ending. I thought the writing was great. #battleofthebooks #BOB

It's the story of a robot stranded on an island who makes friends with all the animals and even adopts one. It is a very sweet story. There is some action to keep it interesting.
