Reviewsbylola Enchanted Islands is fantastic! Honestly, I think they made solid picks for November as far as popularity as well as having a wide range of genres. Personally I‘m disappointed AF though and not really excited at all. 6y

😩😩😩😩 Do I have to read this? The dialogue is atrocious. I guess if my fellow #botmchallengers can make it through, so can I. I'm going to take @emilyhaldi 'a advice and mostly skim. I mean the dialogue, the dialogue...😱😱😱 #BOTM What were you thinking with this one?

L_auren Thinking of you 😂 I didn't mind the first third or so (I think @Reviewsbylola and I were on the same page with this one?) as the setup was interesting enough. I skimmed the middle third and super skimmed the last third 7y

Reviewsbylola I read somewhere (possibly a comment by @L_auren ) that in an interview, the contest winner judge said she was only given two books to read and choose from. Which is pretty ridiculous if it's true. @booksandcooks @ncny But yeah, I didn't mind this one for the most part. I actually made it through, which is more than I can say for some other picks. 😂 I don't love YA, and this seemed right up there with most other YA I've read. 7y

Reviewsbylola 😂😂 To be fair, I was so burnt out on YA when I tried to read Junes and I read it as an ebook. I bail on ebooks at an alarming rate compared to print books! 7y

Megabooks @Reviewsbylola That's why I'm afraid of bailing on this one. I've given myself today to finish it. But I'm taking breaks for other books. I only have two permanent bails so far - The Animators and Lucky You. Chemistry was just too heavy for the time, but I'm going to finish it before the end of the year, so I don't feel particularly bad if I have to bail on this one. 7y

Hazel0303 Loved reading this comment chain @Booksandcooks and @Reviewsbylola . I skipped in June, but I was not so sure about a guest judge either. I started following her on instagram and she is a book reviewer so she reads quite a lot. 7y

Megabooks @Hazel0303 @Reviewsbylola I'm pretty sure the whole guest judge thing was at least a bit rigged. I'm guessing she has better taste, but I think the lack of options (if true) probably did her in. 🤔 7y
