pickA cozy Lego set to go with a cozy book. This one was a little heavy handed on the “flaw” of the main character without giving much nuance or background, but it was still a sweet read.
Doli finally opens her inheritance box and discovers a dragon egg. Her parents visit, she meets a gargoyle she wants a relationship with, and she has to figure out how to navigate her new life.
2.5/5 read for a less developed story but great atmosphere.
pickI sometimes find it hard to review a book this far into a series.
For those familiar with the series: this book continues to follow our beloved protagonist as she tries to keep Cincinnati's supernatural community from going off the rails again.
Full of Harrison's signature wit, unique characters, and stunning world building, I'd call this another strong entry in the series.
If you enjoy urban fantasy, at all, I highly recommend The Hollows!

pickMy Sister of the heart recommended this and I really enjoyed it! Jess is starting over with son in college, recent divorce and needs a job and place to live. She finds this with a spirited house, gargoyle, vampire, alicorn and were creatures…. the banter is funny, middle age accurate and I loved it!

pickI really enjoyed this second book in the accidental alchemist series. It centers around a new mystery while continuing a plot line from book 1. I really like the characters and that there‘s a live gargoyle in the story. Pandian infuses the story with the right amount of quirkiness.
