In honor of #BannedBookWeek . . . In 1998 I was new mom and kept hearing about challenges to this new book that promoted witchcraft. I thought I should check it out even if they were kids books, because . . . I was a new mom and needed to start reading more kids stuff. I bought the first one and read it. And I fell in love. 💕As soon as my baby girl was old enough we started reading them to her. She grew up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. 👇🏻

Ericalambbrown When her dad and I divorced, these were amongst the books we read with her - no matter who she was with the book was a connection between our homes, a unifying and loving force between the three of us even if her dad and I couldn‘t live together anymore. It‘s impossible for me to say all that these books mean to me. 5y

BookNAround I started reading these around the same time as I had a baby and a one year old. I dragged my young children, including the eventual third in his stroller to the midnight launches for the later books because I wanted them to experience the excitement of the events, knowing how unusual it was to be for a book. 😁 5y
Christine Thanks for sharing, how wonderful. ❤️ 5y
