#Naturalitsy #Litsolace
#SpringEquinox

I missed that we were doing #FridayNightShare again! For yesterday‘s #SpringNonFiction prompt, I‘m choosing the book. I think of spring as a time to clean & freshen up. I have had this book on my shelves for ages & still use many of her green cleaning tips & recipes including her Lavender-Lemon Disinfecting Spirits Spray & her essential oil combo list. 💚🌱🪻🍋💛

This is a fascinating read with some great ideas, but it's hard not to be skeptical about anything “eco“ these days, with so much greenwashing going on. It seemed more like a beautiful dream than anything else, though the authors were involved in some big things like a Ford plant revamp: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_River_Rouge_complex#Renova...

willaful It was so tempting to fill the entire #BookSpinBingo board! -- but my books for the remaining characters are perfect for #WinterGames . I think those are also my last two #URC categories!

Faranae Nicely done! There's a lot of interesting efforts going on with the circular economy concept, but it's a systematic approach which means, well, we need buy in from a lot of people who are too short-sighted and selfish to buy in. sigh. 5mo

Lcsmcat Have you read this one? It‘s not just about vegetable oil fuel, but parts are, and it‘s hilariously funny. 10mo
keithmalek @Lcsmcat Yes, I did. I found it mildly funny. Not quite hilarious. 10mo

Birds and windmills (Continued).

SamAnne With wind turbines on the ocean, it‘s also all the under water infrastructure, dredging, development that destroys critical marine habitat, fishing grounds. It is not so benign, and I pray that the proposed project off the Oregon coast is stopped. 10mo
keithmalek @SamAnne He only mentions land windmills. 10mo
SamAnne @keithmalek I‘m pretty the one Kennedy is fighting is offshore. It‘s been in the news again recently. I think the other factor is large companies wanting to control energy production. Definitely see that on the solar energy front. 10mo

Birds and windmills (1 of 2)

jedy94 Great humanitarian work by Greg Melville. Thank you, Keithmalek. 10mo
SamAnne All the fishing associations are opposed too. It is a more complex issue than this author is letting on, or realizing. 10mo

Pickpick

As funny as Bill Bryson, as sincere as Barbara Kingsolver, and with goat-hijinks- anyone who wants the human race to survive with enough food for all of us should read this book. I read so many parts out loud to my patient husband, because they were too funny not to share! And if that doesn‘t convince you to pick it up, there are recipes.

Leftcoastzen Your herbs are beautiful! 10mo
Lcsmcat @Leftcoastzen Thanks, they‘re my husband‘s project. His thumb is much greener than mine. 10mo
