Note to self: never lend a book to a neighbor again. I think her daughter bend the cover around for easier reading, because the book was in great condition when I lent it out. This should not have happened. And they didn‘t offer to replace it either. #horrified

Texreader I am so sorry!!! Yikes!! That‘s exactly what happened to my copy of The Stand when I loaned it out. Some people just don‘t get it. 3y

Texreader @BarkingMadRun Yes my precious copy that was my fave book at the time. He caught living heck from me over it. And having forgotten that lesson, decades later I loaned out The Historian, when someone tore it up too. I‘m done with loaning copies. 3y
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego That is awful! And so rude!! I never lend books out, in case of instances like this. Broken spines are a pet peeve of mine, so this is just horrifying. How is this ok to people!? 3y
