Prairiegirl_reading I‘m totally feeling this too. I‘ve had a news ban for so long but today I put on cnn and then my husband came home and said “I can‘t stop watching this.” Pretty much all evening. 😫 5y

Hooked_on_books I cut out tv news years ago when I realized how much they speculate to fill space. I‘m not ok with that. I stick to articles only, which I can stop reading at any moment but still keep up. It was a great choice and I don‘t regret it at all. It‘s still possible to get sucked in, of course, but it‘s helped me a lot. 5y

I normally do the same but sometimes slip into news-watching (or, more accurately, listening to TV news like it‘s radio/a podcast) during these “big, historic moments.” Mostly a choice I later regret, even if it does sometimes include interesting guests/perspectives. 5y

Reggie For your mental sanity it‘s ok to put your head in the sand. I almost got suckered into watching the news the other day when I saw impeachment inquiry but they‘ll say the same thing for 5 hours between 9 different people. Read a book. 5y
