CoffeeNBooks So they had to vote for chaplain, it was all political, it seems like they already knew who everyone was going to vote for, and Lydgate ended up voting for Tyke (even though he really likes Farebrother) because he knew voting in alliance with Bulstrode was the best bet for furthering his career/cause. 1y
julieclair Well friends, I have decided to bail on Middlemarch. 😕 I really enjoyed it when I read it in college, but this time around (all these many years later) it is just not grabbing me. I‘m going to allocate my reading time to one of the many other books screaming for my attention.
