Some SUPER tough decisions made for the fiction #readingbracket. I loved so many of these books. North Woods and Demon Copperhead are all-time favorites, and NW, squeaked in as the top read, but ask me tomorrow and it could be DC!

BarbaraBB Happy that I just bought North Woods! 4mo

#readingbracket for 2023. This was fun! This is the first time I‘ve used this and I‘m surprised at how it differs from my top reads of the year, without organizing by month. This is the #nonfiction bracket.
(One more gushing post for the year about “The Only Plane in the Sky” — for those of you who listen to audiobooks, this one is the best I‘ve ever read!!)

Apologies for not remembering the host😬🤔 I read/listened to great books in 2023 & am looking forward to the 2024‘s bracket release. Could someone please tag me when they come across the new one🧐

I‘m gonna do separate ones (physical, digital & audiobooks) this year & my goal is to keep up with them monthly (instead of wracking my🧠 come December).

TheSpineView I did a screen capture so hopefully I will remember 4mo
DieAReader @TheSpineView Much appreciated! Thanks❤️‍🔥 4mo

Forgot to post my #readingbracket for November. Read a lot of really good books in November, but I think the tagged book is my favorite. I‘m excited to see what it‘s up against in December!

I‘m posting my nonfiction #readingbracket early as I wont finish another by the end of the month.

I really liked Come Fly the World. The writing was easy to flow with and I learned quite a bit.

It didn‘t quite stack up to my July book though. Gathering Moss is the current leader for the second half of the year.

Aims42 Ooo, I have this one on my TBR stack 👍 8mo

Halfway through my 2023 reading bracket for favorite book of the year. I wonder if anything in the second half of the year will be better than Fool‘s Fate 🤔

June‘s best nonfiction for me was Poverty, by America. But I think Just Mercy was just slightly better. For me. It takes best of the first half of 2023. #readingbracket #bestnonfiction

Amiable I can‘t believe we‘re already halfway through the year! 😳 10mo
currentlyreadinginCO Ooo I loved behind the beautiful forevers too, read it about a decade ago and still remember it 10mo
Hooked_on_books Just Mercy is one of my favorite books of all time. It‘ll be hard to beat! I feel like it‘s message of none of us is just one thing should be applied widely, especially now in our time of lack of nuance. 10mo

I‘m so glad I read Fresh Water for Flowers, it was my best fiction read in June, and easily since March… but I can‘t decide yet if it beats out Black Sun. I‘m going to let it sink in more before I decide the first half of the year‘s winning book. #readingbracket #bestfiction

BarbaraBB Looking forward to your decision! 10mo
