This might be the first #romance novel that I have liked in my life. So much so, that I am considering to read the other books in the series. Gasp!! 😂😂😂

#RHC Task 16: An historical romance by an #AOC

This was right up my alley. A family drama that managed to be engaging and thought provoking despite it being fairly short.

This my #RHC pick for task 3: A book by a woman and/or #AOC that won a literary award in 2018.

For me, this is “Fight Song” #poetry

I used this for task 24 of the #RHC (A collection of poetry published since 2014).

I have been listening to short books over the last couple of days, because I should have some library holds come through soon and I don‘t want to break into anything big. 🤓🤓🤓

The book had some definite highlights and I liked how humor was splashed into a pretty grave situation. But overall it was way to scattered to really work for me.

I read this for task 10 of the #RHC (A translated book written by and/or translated by a woman), but it would also work as #clifi for #booked2019

One of my favorite authors did not disappoint with his latest book. A fast German history lesson given by recounting the main character‘s life. There is also an interesting narrative style change in the 3rd part of the book that should now qualify it as epistolary novel for the #RHC. 🤓🤓🤓

The caliber of authors and the diversity of cultural backgrounds in this short story collection is quite impressive. There were only two stories that I skimmed, all the other ones I really liked.

This would be also a good fit for the #RHC task to read a book with less than 100 Goodreads reviews and it‘s available on Hoopla.

I wasn‘t as impressed with this book as I was hoping to be... while I “figured” out who the culprit was roughly 3/4 of the way through I enjoyed the climactic reveal. Woodstock was self absorbed and I couldn‘t like her, but I am interested to see if her character develops in later books (if any will be written). I‘m on my second book for the #botmbingeathon - work has been killing me! Taking up all my reading time 😭

I‘m only a few chapters in, but so far so good for this modern day Romeo and Juliet. Jamey seems like the stereotypical 80s prep boy and Elise seems to be causing his neurons to miss fire in all the ways young love does.
