If you haven‘t checked out the app Serial Box you need to! I‘ve read two “seasons” and really enjoyed them.
They are stories but in episode format, kinda like a podcast for reading. I‘m about to start The Triangle! It sounds super interesting. #serial #serialbox

🎧 Currently listening to: #Sadie by #CourtneySummers 🎧
Have you read this? I‘m loving it! 💜

Blurb: “A missing girl on a journey of revenge and a #Serial—like #podcast following the clues she's left behind... When Mattie is found dead, Sadie's entire world crumbles. After a somewhat botched police investigation, Sadie is determined to bring her sister's killer to justice and hits the road following a few meager clues to find him...”

lele1432 Put this on my TBR a few weeks ago! It sounds so good! 1y
BrainyHeroine IT IS SO GOOD 1y
JoScho I have the book on hold. Should I do the audio? Is it awesome? 1y

Jess7 I have a physical copy, but I downloaded the audio from the library bc I decided to start it at work. I‘m liking it a lot. The audio is well done. There are different narrators for all the different characters when they‘re having conversations. The podcast portion of the book is also done by a different character and it sounds like a real podcast. It‘s really easy to follow like this. @JoScho 1y
JoScho Cool! I will put that on hold too and see which one comes in first. Thanks ❤️ 1y
tammysue My library hold just came in for it. Excited! 1y
eri.reads This sounds really cool! I just put a library hold. 🤗 1y

Sadie is here! Can't wait to check this new #YA #thriller out. You guys, Stephanie Perkins is blurbing it as "an electrifying, high-stakes road trip--@ gripping thriller with a true-crime podcast edge". I don't know about you but I LOVE #serial so here's hoping this scratches that itch!
Thanks @WednesdayBooksYA @bookbrag for the #arc copy!

LibrarianRyan I'm in the middle of it. It's been interesting and the podcast bent is a different way to read a book. Not a bad way just different. Hope to finish it soon. 2y

This was 20 issues on #serial, which is a great length imo. A charming story, it‘s about Vivian Lane, a young woman who decides to start a new life with some other women running a boardinghouse out west. It‘s early 1900s, so Vivian‘s decision is not taken lightly, as her parents believe a woman should not be highly educated, and that a good marriage is the ultimate goal. I really enjoyed the characters in this one and watching Vivian grow.

Libby1 I‘m addicted to Serial Reader so I must add this one. 2y
emilyhaldi Sounds like a good classic 👍🏻 2y

713 pages into Middlemarch, whew! I certainly like it more than I initially did, but I can‘t say that I love it. Maybe a study of provincial life just isn‘t my cup of tea 🍵, but the beautiful characterizations and thoughtful dialog are going a long way towards my understanding of why this book is so well-loved. #litsyclassics #serial #serialreader

Amiable I literally just finished it about 10 minutes ago! And I agree with you. I liked it--and I can appreciate it--but I didn't love it. 2y

Finished this on the #Serial app. I started it because it was the campus-wide reading selection where I work and because I wanted to read it alongside Ahmed Saadawi‘s Frankenstein in Baghdad. Glad I read them close together, but don‘t read Saadawi expecting his to be a retelling. It‘s simply not. Someone snuck that into the marketing for Saadawi‘s book and it has unfortunately stuck. Anyway, glad to have finally read this as well!

I love #Serial! It is helping me to finally read classics that I have been meaning to read forever. I liked more than loved this story of a bright, beautiful woman with a mysterious past. It sagged a bit, especially in the middle, but I cared enough about the characters to stick with it and I‘m glad that I did.
