The Language of Flowers: A Novel | Vanessa Diffenbaugh
post image

#tarottakeover 3 #theempresscard can represent the creation of life, romance, art, or new business, & this heart wrenching book has all of those things. The main character is flawed & distant, so she uses flower arranging to work through things. Along the way, she finds both maternal and romantic love, as well as acceptance & healing. Motherhood & creativity is a permeating topic in this one. @ErinSueG @WhiskeyMistress

Erinsuereads Wow that looks like an excellent prompt choice! That book sounds fantastic as well. Is it really chick lit though? 6y
madamereadsalot1 @ErinSueG I don't think so at all. It's really the story of a poor girl from the California foster system being emancipated out of the system and just her struggle with her past, present, and future. The author even worked to raise awareness of what happened to unadopted kids in the system when they age out. It's really heartfelt and touching ... 6y
