The book showed the Germans perspective of the 1st world war, this is very nice as it is good to see the loser of the wars perspective.The book also shows the horrors and boredom of war and the deceiving thing that is propaganda.I personally like this book because i love ww1 and the book is very descriptive of the war and of Paul Bäumer's experiences. I read the book in German so i may have had a different experience than with the English version.
