Just started this book and just want to keep going! I so wish I would have finished Saturday chores on Saturday, so I could cuddle with cats and book all day. But, the day is young and this story will help me get things finished in a hurry, so I can get back to it!

I don‘t usually read romance but I needed a pallet cleaner after finishing The Last Temptation. I am almost finished with this sweet romance set in England with the royal family as part of the setting. Hopefully next week‘s book report will be better. #bookreport

Cinfhen Sounds like you did a good job of mixing things up! I also need to balance heavier subject matter with lighter reads. 4w

I loved this book so much! The story is set in Florida and space and other demensions. A shuttle loving girl and her Mother are the heroines! The book is full of hope and fear and science and love and space travel and Florida! I remember with a 💔standing outside watching the Challenger. That moment and how we pick ourselves up and keep going are at the center of the story. Definitely one of my favorite books of the year! The lime is from my tree

Women Talking: A Novel | Miriam Toews

Almost finished with this book as the 5th week of #bookfitnesschallenge ends. I did yard work and almost 50 squats in one work-out session. My Granddaughter tells me I will be in great shape if I do 100 squats a day! But, I caught a cold from the kindergarten kids I have been working with and the camp‘s last day was moved up and I have been watching my daughter‘s house so all in all not a productive week. I am looking forward to next week!

I love almost anything by Dave Eggers! How the people are drawn, the one eating! 🤣I also love San Francisco & the Golden Gate Bridge. My daughter lives there. I completed all my #bfc goals this week. As I walk a lot I have been putting more work outs in my week. I cleaned my refrigerator, lots of bending and squatting. My granddaughter wants me to do 100 squats a day, not there yet! The 2 photos on right are of book jacket, inside and outside.

I am house sitting for my daughter so knew I would get a late start for #24in48. I have had to get up an hour earlier on work days to deal with Gran dog, cat, 2 bunnies and 3 chickens. I was asleep before 11 last night and did not get up until after 7. It was lovely! If I manage 12 hours I will be thrilled! Happy Reading everyone!

Enjoying this book. I love the spunk of the main character! I had another good week with my #bfc goals. Lots of water and working out but the meditation goals fell. The Wonder | Emma Donoghue

This story was dark and damp and unsettling and I had to read some fun picture books to shake it off. I don‘t regret the time I gave to it, but I was glad to be finished with it. #bfc I have read 2 books and drank so much water (very hot and humid in Florida). Meditating for smaller moments has worked really well for for me. I have worked out almost every day because I am tackling projects and gardening and playing with grandkids!

wanderinglynn Sounds like a great week! 🙌🏻 way to go! And I like the idea of meditating in small chunks. I may give that a try because so far, I‘m not doing great at meditating. 5mo
Annl @wanderinglynn I am trying to do a lot in small chunks. But especially for meditating, trying to find a larger period of time is always difficult. I can find 2 or 3 minutes, even during days filled with young children. I hope to slip all these habits into my daily schedule permanently. I just did 15 minutes of little chores, change Ac filter, clean out a kitchen shelf. Thank you for hosting! 😘 5mo

My new lawn mower, a SunJoe. It is electric and great for the little yard I have to cut. slategreyskies Our last electric lawnmower had an extension cord too, but the one we purchased to replace it runs on battery power. My husband used it for the first time today, and he said that he liked not having a cord, since he‘d been worried about running over the cord before too. I‘m guessing it‘s not unlike using a vacuum cleaner in that you get into a rhythm of tossing the cord over and to the side. :) 7mo

jenniferw88 Thanks @Annl looks like it's a separate novel. From GR: Like Lady Audley, Aurora is a beautiful young woman bigamously married and threatened with exposure by a blackmailer. But in Aurora Floyd, and in many of the novels written in imitation of it, bigamy is little more than a euphemism, a device to enable the heroine, and vicariously the reader, to enjoy the forbidden sweets of adultery without adulterous intentions 8mo

rretzler I‘m a huge fan of English mysteries too - they are also my comfort books. There are so many that it‘s hard to keep up with them all! I love Golden Age mysteries, but also the more modern ones. Have you read Peter Lovesey, Martha Grimes or Elizabeth George? They are a few of my more modern favorites, along with Elly Griffiths and Ann Cleeves. 8mo
Annl @rretzler Elizabeth George is my all time favorite. I am 2 books past the book with the awful event (you probably know to what I am referring). I have the last Dalgliesh to read from P.D. James. I have not heard of Peter Lovesey. I will have to check him out. I am presently reading Murder in G Major which I am enjoying, set in Ireland. 8mo
rretzler Yes, I do know the awful event - I refuse to read the next book in George‘s series, but I‘m caught up with it otherwise. Love PD James as well. I‘ve not heard of Murder in G Major, I‘ll have to check it out. Always good to compare notes with a fellow English mystery lover! 8mo
Annl @rretzler I also did not read the next book after the event in the George series. George gave an interview about why she did what she did? Not sure I agree? 7mo
Annl @rretzler Barbara is my favorite character in that series! 7mo

This was not in my tbr and I had never heard of it, but I wanted an audio for #24in48 and there it was narrated by one person (that is not always true in audiobooks). I have enjoyed it so much. I will read more of her books. @24in48
