rwmg I only got 9. I read some Stephen King in the 1970s and 1980s but I forget the titles now apart from Carrie, which is the first one I read., so I might be able to add one or two. 4d

LiseWorks I only got 9, I don't read them as much as I watched the movies lol all Steven King were movies, not the books. I don't really like his books. Way too long. 4d

It's #WDNCW! Please share their “we-do-not-cares“!

We do not care that at first all our sister said was, “You need a dress for your niece's wedding.“ That turned into you need new, glittery silver shoes that you'll never wear again. Oh, and glittery tennis shoes for the reception. And a bra that puts your boobs back in the right place. And a glittery purse. And what if you're cold? You need a shawl. Still TBD. 😳

Amiable My thoughts when attending a wedding that is not my own: “I am not the bride so nobody will be looking at me!” Then I dress accordingly. 😄 5d

Bookwomble You're driving the tagged book higher up my TBR list with your Tuesday Tunes posts! 😄 It's Eno's journal, which includes (I think) his account of how he developed the idea for ambient music when he was ill and couldn't get out of bed to turn up the volume on his amp and had to listen at a barely audible level.

Dilara I ticked the brands that are sold in Europe/UK or things that looked similar to sweets I know. I hesitated on Milky Way: we have a product with this name, but the packaging looks completely different... Anyway, I got 28%, which is lower than most of you, unsurprisingly 😄

AnneCecilie Thinking about it after reading them all one after another, I feel that in a way they‘re all one book. The first has the dissolution of the monasteries and over the next books we see how “normal” peoples situation decreases and in the end there‘s no other option than revolt. When you have nothing left to loose, you‘ll fight for you betterment (edited) 2w

AnneCecilie I‘m not sure, most crime series ends after 8 or 10 books, but I would have loved one final case with all three. I loved the dynamic between them in earlier books. Something was missing for me when Barak wasn‘t in them as much. I always thought Shardlake retired and moved out of the city, most have mixed that up with one of the earlier books when I talks about his dead. 2w

lil1inblue Looking back, I think Dark Fire (we meet Barak!) and Heartstone were my favorites. Tombland is my least favorite, though still a low pick. I did read somewhere online that he did want to continue the series through Elizabeth becoming Queen. I think a novel set when Mary was Queen would have been fascinating (a total flip on the religious stuff). 2w

Mollyanna I enjoyed all of them but Dark Fire was my favorite by far. We meet Barak, still have Cromwell around manipulating things, Richard Rich kind of in his place…. Plus I am fascinated by Greek fire and the potential of it. 2w

He knew he was dying, and I think he pushed himself to say ALL the things he wanted to say before he couldn't say them anymore. This one's bittersweet for me because of that. I was devastated to learn of the passing of Diane Keaton, one of my favorite actresses. What a light and a legend. It seems a lot of my favorite actors, singers, etc. are dying and are adding to the despair that is this year.

It really is close to no exaggeration that if I had $1 for every time the NYTimes listed Phoenix as one of the top three places to watch out for danger due to the immensely high heat, I'd be rich. Yesterday, Phoenix was listed as a place for “excessive rain“. Wha--? I have NEVER seen our city included for this type of weather risk. We have been besieged with rain and mosquitos so far this October. But I'll never grouch at temps in the 70s.
