Rereading this for spooky season. My first time reading on audio and it‘s incredible.

I really liked this in print a few years ago. Listening on audio now so that I can read the sequel.
I loved this book in print. I may love it even more on audio. Hearing all the names and places pronounced properly is wonderful.
Obsessed with this short story collection. This was my favorite one of the bunch.
Love SMG. This is my 5th read of hers. Very cool, gritty vampires in this one.
I‘ve been meaning to read this for years! Finally have the audio 🩵
Started this yesterday at Dallas‘ August Silent Bookclub meeting. Totally in love so far. My favorite story is the one about the breakup so far.
Tattoo of Ruby! Still so obsessed with this novella 😅
She‘s got a little cowboy hat and scarf
How do you keep a thousand books in one room and then call that room a den?
This was an okay little book. Saw both “twists” coming but really likes the ending.
This was wonderful. Sad and yet not really. Objectively sad, I think. But Frankie doesn‘t seem bitter or upset about the life he lived.
Listening to this as I continue my year of rereading all of Ware‘s work. A bit boring to start.
Is this my new favorite book in the world? I am only 2hr and 30mins in. Buuuuut 🙌
More kids‘ books with trans characters, please! 🏳️⚧️ This is a gentle book about a kid who had a brother but now has a sister. It rhymes, it‘s light, it mostly talks about how his sister is all the same things, just had a different first name. Real nice, real age appropriate, just a cute one.
A little over halfway done. This is great and I may like it better than Binti so far. And I love the cover 🌳🌳
10/10!!!! Loved this book. Here‘s the two that I finished on vacation in 🇸🇪 🇩🇰 and 🇳🇴!!
Short book! Finished it on vacation. Thinking of listening to the audio right away also.
Probably a book to reread often. Will get something new out of these sparse fragments every time, I think.
5/5 🌟 Loved it even more than the first one. MCs Charlie and Nick are ADORABLE.
So cute! I‘m in love. Finished three comics in three days.
Rereading this series with @elisebarker and we are loving it. There‘s so much to talk about and even though it is years old, so many things are still relevant or even more relevant now.
Obsessed with this multi POV story so far. Got one chapter from everyone at this point.
Liked this one! I‘ve been in the mood for westerns lately since reading the American hippo novellas.
Went to a silent book club in Frisco, TX yesterday. Was fun! 30 mins chit chat, then an hour reading, then some more mingling.
Audio hold finally came in. I‘ve wanted to read this for a while. 🧳
New book for bookclub. Trying to read it with an Irish accent. May pick up the audio too for a fuller experience.
Soft pick for me! Liked it better than the second one for sure though! I think maybe I‘m not the target for a cozy mystery. The description of food really gets in the way of the mystery for me. I did, however like the mystery and I‘ve always loved all the characters.
Met Rebecca last night! She‘s a complete genius. Beautiful talk about books, publishing, social media, and hopes and dreams. ✨
Another audio in this series. Just heard there‘s a fourth too!!! These covers also never disappoint. 10/10. 🥰
I‘ve only seen glowing praise for this story so far. I did enjoy it, but really didn‘t love it like everyone seemed to. The narrator and mc, Sam was entertaining and I liked being in her head. The neighbors and mother were fine and the grandmother was interesting. The ending just fell really flat and it all came together so quickly. Too easy for me.
Definitely a must read for those who consider themselves feminists or claim to care about all women. We all have blind spots, internalized racism, and prejudice. Even if we are constantly working to combat those things, we still live in a society that values white, straight, able-bodied, and not poor individuals over all others and we need to constantly be uplifting voices of those society doesn‘t seek to protect. This is our fight too.
This is a wonderful look inside one woman‘s life as she struggles with the best way to love three members of the same family; a husband, a wife, and their young son. Nora is obsessed with each person in a different way and working out why and if they are as equally obsessed with her is fascinating. A book about art, education, aging, friendship, and deciding your own fate.
Just got past a few moments in the game in which game makers absolutely torture the tributes. These are so brutal. Been a while since I read and I am shocked all over again at the horror.
Obsessed with this vulture. Only 1 hr into the audio, but enjoyable so far. Don‘t know anything about the plot!
.. white feminism is going to have to get comfortable with the idea that until they challenge their racist aunts, parents, cousins, and so on, it is definitely all white women who are responsible. ✊🏻✊🏼
Loved this book! Something about a chaotic and self-destructive young adult who wants love and also wants to be grown up, have a career, have friends, but chooses the love above all else to her own destruction. And yet, learns from it…..
I didn‘t know I wanted horror poetry until now. 🩸⚰️🐀💀
Definitely getting a hippo tattoo after this series! So fun and such a wild romp! 🤠🦛
Really quite good. Reminded me a lot of the hobbit and lord of the rings. High fantasy, lots of characters, rotating chapters, lots and lots of small things get in the way of the goal. Loved the audio!
