Really really liked this one. Will probably read the next in the series this summer. Quick, fun, good dialogue!

The things Ahed has seen and the way she explains how Israeli soldiers abuse and harass and even kill her family without consequences is making me shake with rage.
About halfway done with this snowy and grisly murder mystery. Listening to the audio so I can hear proper pronunciation of the Sámi words.
Just started and really like it. 🐷 The characters already seem whole and multifaceted. 🎀
10/10! I loved this book. Quiet marriage and quiet rage. No wonder women are angry. 🔫
Started this on my drive to ATX this weekend. I looked it up today, and I think this is actually 2 out of 4!! Doesn‘t seem like the 3rd and 4th follow the same characters as these first two, but we will see. ✨
Plane reading ✈️ 📖
I have wanted to read this for so long. I meant to save it to my library list, but accidentally hit borrow. Guess it‘s time!
Heavy content for sure. 💔
Beautiful and raw memoir.
Throwing this book into my mix. Need something light to give my brain. #rafahsuperbowl
Joined a live YouTube stream to chat about this title. I got so much out of talking with other people. I already loved the book and now I have more things to think about.
Actually loved this. Not as light as I thought it would be, which really worked for me. Lots of grief and confusion here.
Halfway through. Borrowed from a friend. Really beautiful and interesting premise.
About halfway done. Pretty good so far!
Will be looking into reviews. I don‘t think I understood everything. But I did like it somewhat. I‘m just not used to this kind of cosmic horror. I wonder if that‘s the right term. *Supernatural, curses, reanimation, grief, loss, confusion, little bit of tech thrown in.
Bailey and I in bed because it‘s 17 degrees in the Dallas area and she is terrified of the heater. Luckily we finished the tagged audio while snuggling. Great audio!!
The body horror in this book is 10/10. So many weird things happen. Great commentary on athletics and the pressure young athletes face. 🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️
Happy New Year. Tagging my first read of 2024. 🧜🏻♀️ What is everyone else starting with? 🎆
Brace yourself is right. The audio for this is also 10/10! 🔥
Read for Palestine week just ended. Picked this up from the library because it was all over TikTok! Really loved it. I remember being just like this in high school.
Fantastic memoir. Full of stories about immigration, school, religion, being “authentically gay”. Told in sections related to people in the Quran. Really really enjoyed the storytelling. Audiobook, morning listening.
I read this because it was denied an award ceremony that it deserved. It was on the liberate with literature reading challenge too. Highly, highly recommend. 10/10.
Really liked some of the stories at the beginning. Also absolutely loved the editors small essays in between stories. I think they have another collection that I will definitely be reading.
Likes this one! It wasn‘t as creepy as I wanted, but the lore was great and it was a little gory. This is a dumb picture just because this was my Halloween book and I wanted to show my new Halloween tattoo.
Read this twice in a row. Liked it better the second time. A little confusing, so maybe one more read would give this a 👍 Beautiful art though!!!
Also reading this for Black Booktok‘s Liberate with Literature Challenge. 🇵🇸🍉🇵🇸🍉🇵🇸🍉
Reading this for “Liberate with Literature: Black BookTok for Palestine Reading Challenge”. Join the challenge on StoryGraph. 🇵🇸
Read this right after Gender Queer. Really liked both stories of transformation and becoming. 🩵🩷🤍
Started this for Hispanic Heritage Month, but I am such a slow reader. I LOVE the cover. 🪅
Such Sharp Teeth and Black Sheep has long holds at my library, so I borrowed this just to have some Harrison this October. 🧡🖤🧡
I am posing, but this is an accurate representation of what I look like in the morning while I listen to audiobooks and enjoy my coffee and the sun coming up. This has been a year of reading books on audio that I have read many times in print. Audio has consistently made the reading experience better.
Finished this yesterday. I think I said this as soon as I started it, but this is my fave SMG. 🫦
Rereading this for spooky season. My first time reading on audio and it‘s incredible.
I really liked this in print a few years ago. Listening on audio now so that I can read the sequel.
I loved this book in print. I may love it even more on audio. Hearing all the names and places pronounced properly is wonderful.
Obsessed with this short story collection. This was my favorite one of the bunch.
