Bit of a slow burner for me, comprimising suspense in favour of authentic historical writing style but I ❤️ the originality of the story and the dynamic between the main characters.

If you want Agatha Christie with a slight paranormal twist - THIS!

Though a bit dated, I really enjoyed this story- political intrigue, assassinations and romance.

This is a book that everyone needs to read.... Just.... Everyone.
It covers sensitive topics with humour, delicacy and brutal honesty. Nina is my favourite character of the year so far
