The Bookshop of yesterdays was an interesting read that took a little different direction than I expected. A woman inherits her uncle's bookstore (lots of love for book stores in the communities that support them here!). She finds mysteries in her past that need to be dealt with lots of heart-wrenching moments.

A sweet romance with great family elements. As I was reading I hoped that one of the sisters would get her own book and she does! This is the first in a connected series.

pickA great author can make you care about a story line you didn't have much interest in. A mail order bride I expect to to have limited options and desperate. But in Tempest, Reagan is not desperate, in fact she's an heiress with money and seeks adventure in the old west. To get there, she answers an ad as a wife. I love the historical details and Beverly's books.
