The thing I loved most about Crooked Kingdom was how it emphasized, improved upon, and highlighted all the things I'd loved about Six of Crows. This isn't a heist story, but it is a made caper in all the best ways. I think these two works together very well, and they send a few threads out into the #Grishaverse for further books in the series to pick up. Definitely worth reading!

The Grishaverse has fully sucked me in! Six of Crows is a fascinating heist tale, with a riveting cast of characters and an vibrant story world. It's different enough from the Shadow and Bone trilogy to stand on its own, but stays close enough to the established story world to keep fans of the trilogy intrigued. I loved it!
