This actually isn't a bad time for me for #24in48 considering how crazy busy my weekend was! I did a lot with my family but still managed to read some.

Wow this was so mysterious! I couldn't wait to figure out what was happening, and I loved all of the characters. I'm so satisfied with the writing style and the narrative choice.

I really enjoyed this collection of short stories! I read about one a day before going to bed and it was a really nice way to end the day, learning more about other cultures while reading great plots and characters. Of course, there are some I enjoyed more than others!

Umm! Wow this book was so spooky and amazing! It really breaks down the effect the internet is having on politics and global connections. I learned so much from this book and I'm definitely going to think more critically about how I interact with social media from now on. There were so many little surprising details that I kept having to read aloud to my roommate!

This broke my heart! I don't know how to rate this, because I loved a lot of the poems included, but most of them I didn't really understand. This is a poetry collection centered on violence, especially school shootings and Columbine.

AHHHH this book murdered me. I wasn't sure what direction it was going to take, so every moment was suspenseful. I saw part of the ending coming, but the other part absolutely floored me and now I can't wait for the third and final book! What am I supposed to do before then?

businessmermaid I feel exactly the same way about this gem! My jaw actually dropped at the end. 5y

This is a book I absolutely adored years ago so I wanted to reread it! I still really enjoyed everything that happened, and it's been so long since my last read that a couple moments were pretty shocking.

This was such a sobering read. It's hard to imagine what these women went through as they slowly and painfully died from the radium paint their bosses told them was safe. There were a few times I was reading this in public and couldn't help but tear up as I read about the ways they died from an incurable poison.

goodbyefrancie This one was hard for me. Environmental Health and Safety is my career, and this story is just horrendous. I had to read a little at a time and then set it down for a while. 5y

Wow this made me super nostalgic! I remember as an elementary schooler seeing this play performed by the older kids. I definitely noticed a lot more how weird some of the events are, but it made me laugh. The songs sang by the Oompa Loompas we're very entertaining to read as well.
Read through #newyearwhodis for @AsYouWish

AsYouWish I love the songs!!!! I have gotten a few of my students to read this and they tell me that is their favorite part too!!! 5y
bookseller_cate I still remember being in grade four and my teacher stopped at “turn on the lights” and the whole class screamed “no! more!”. She held firm, though. 📚❤️😊 5y

Whoo. I spent almost 8 hours today finishing up this audiobook! Even with listening to it at 2.75 speed, it took me a while to get through! Rereading it, I still enjoyed it just as much as the first time, maybe more as I was trying to figure out foreshadowing for both the ending and the 3rd book(which I'm hoping to make my 1st read of 2019!). I'm not sure I'll get any more reading done tonight because of the emotional toll!

This was an enjoyable and quick read! Not very character driven or developed, but the plot (about a girl having to save the president's son in the middle of nowhere Alaska) was gripping.

There was an adorable romance. But for me, the stars of this book were the incredible development of the main character and her relationships with her Dad and new coworker Rose. I love how much Clara learned about herself and what she really values in life!

Hmm if this isn't my favorite book, it's definitely close. I can't help but absolutely love every single part of this novel! The world is so whimsical: man-eating water horses that are raced every November. Sean and Puck, the main characters, have such chemistry. I love their individual plots and their plot together!
The audiobook is a great way to read it, all the music heard is composed and performed by the author herself.
