Three things you need to know about this book: One, it‘s truly strange and often disconcerting (TW for abuse and sexual assault). Two, there‘s a whole lot of wonderful mixed in with the weird. It‘s structured through a series of transcribed interviews between an unnamed journalist and Masha (later Marshall), the adopted son of a 90‘s “personality” guru called Mayah - think Oprah crossed with Scientology. Three, it‘s really, really good.
