Just because I can‘t stand the dull a moment longer! I don‘t care if I have to bring it in at night like a baby. First pot of the season. 😊

We‘re still away for spring break. We visited the University of South Carolina yesterday for my son, and then my daughter and I stayed up way too late finishing a puzzle. So it‘s a slow morning of eating scones and catching up on buddy reads and journaling.
Repost for @dabbe
Wow! I've gone over 200,000 Litsy points!
To celebrate, I'd like to host a giveaway for a book on your TBR (plus a little book merch) if you post (by 4/24) a mood board of where you are in life. Good, bad, a combo--wherever you are! Be sure to include the hashtag #moodboardcontest/#mbc and tag me @dabbe.

Congratulations @dabbe — #dabberocks #litsylegend 👏I‘ve only been on Litsy a couple of months, but you‘ve been so welcoming, I feel like I know you! 💛💛💛
My mood board is all about my guys, whom I‘m missing. They live in the Midwest and I‘ve not seen them since last June. They are each other‘s best friend and I love the closeness we all share despite the distance. (Grateful for Skype).
#moodboardcontest / #mbc
•favorite genres : Romance, classic/middlebrow fiction, memoir, books about being queer.
•desert island reads?: Lord of the Rings, Miss Pym Disposes
•What‘s your go-to reading snack? pecans
•Weirdest or most interesting place you‘ve read a book? The Andes mountains. My husband was so annoyed with me!
•What do you do when you‘re not reading? Housework, listen to my kid's drama, dance, garden, write political postcards, fret.
#BibliologistBio
•What are your favorite genres? I always say Literary Fiction, because it's so vague I feel like I don't really have to decide. I like messy stories, grey areas, and people just trying their best.
•What are a few of your desert island reads? I'm a mood reader, so this is a bit of a torturous question. Becky Chambers' Robot and Monk books, The Bell Jar, Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series, Hamnet, and Never Let Me Go
#BibliologistBio @monalyisha

Coffee?
•Weirdest or most interesting place you've read a book?
Sitting on a garbage bag in an empty parking lot
•What do you do when you're not reading?

Out to lunch with my hubby. My drink looks too pretty to consume. Also, going through my Kindle app on my phone, trying to decide what to read next.
Holes, by Louis Sachar. Apparantly Sachar wrote the script, so that's why it is so close to the book. I love the loopholes and parallel moments that link everything together. It was so well thought out.
I also can't deny I would rewatch Sense and Sensibility (1995) and Pride and Prejudice (2005) over and over and over again!
What about you?
Although this has a thriller-like structure & is a variation on the “trauma plot”, it is not a major departure from Diana Reid‘s previous novels. It is most interesting for its exploration of friendships & sibling relationships, the interplay of power, sexual politics & societal norms & of the cancer of secrets & lies. I think she‘s a really interesting writer, she always leaves me with plenty to think about. #ozfiction
#5joysFriday
1) I spent last weekend with my crafty friends
Work was really rough this week so I‘m going with the joys coming up!
2) Easter weekend
3) My new paralegal starts next Wednesday and we are getting her office set up—I think she‘ll be a great addition to my team
4) Flying to AZ to pick up son from university for the summer (hopefully I can come see @dabbe on one of these trips)
5) Daughter is graduating university a month from now
#5JoysFriday @DebinHawaii
1. Thankful — my brother-in-law had a stroke this week but it was minor and he‘s home. 💛
2. Easter blessings — as a Christian, I believe in Jesus and His resurrection and the hope that gives. 🙏
3. Got a Fire tablet with Kindle! 😃
4. A dear friend gave me this sweet orchid to cheer me up.🤗
5. My husband who has been taking such patient care of me for these first three weeks after surgery. ❤️
Halp!
I read about a graphic novel here and stupidly wrote down the call number at my library without the title. Of course I couldn't find it. It's shelved in YA here and the author's last name begins with BUT. Anyone have any idea what it is?
I've never played before and I suck at photo collages, but here goes. I can always use more gratitude in my life.
@DebinHawaii
1. Having my girls back with me after their grandmother (my ex-husband's mother) passed away and they were in Namibia for nearly 2 weeks
2. A somewhat quieter week at work
3. Neighbours who always help me with little things, like yesterday when I couldn't get my en-suite's door back on its track
#5JoysFriday @DebinHawaii #TGIF

This one is for my ebook/physical book May #Roll100 titles.
I‘ve decided Always will double as my #ReadOrDonate book for May since it‘s been on my shelf for so long.
Here‘s my audiobook #Roll100 titles for May.
I‘m also reading Summer at Tiffany with the #SUNDAYBUDDYREAD group. 🤓
Red Inside, by Bridgett Nelson. I‘d say 3 1/2 stars. I was here for the beginning, when the spiders were first appearing. It quickly became…a lot. Like, the characters would be together and then someone new would say something, and I‘d think “wait where did they come from??” That happened I think twice. And I know they needed to explore the whole hospital for the book, but immediately jumping to “the children‘s cancer ward!” was flimsy…cont…
Congrats on your 200k milestone, @dabbe ! Here‘s my mood board. It‘s not super cheerful —every day since Jan. 20 has been more challenging than the day before it. Trying to maintain my resolve and commitment to making good trouble, but the mountain feels higher and more dangerous every time I can bring myself to look at the news. I worry about my Marine son, I worry about the economy and I worry if we‘ll even have a country next year. Mood: 😵💫
Congratulations on your milestone @dabbe Here is my contribution to the #moodboardcontest #mbc
It‘s hard to sum up my feelings- late 40‘s mom of 2 teens working in a constantly changing industry and volunteering for environmental causes while the world burns. I think the roller coaster is the best representation!
At least I did better than with the movies! Favorites are The Grapes of Wrath, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and Charlotte‘s Web. Has anyone not played yet? See @dabbe for the link. #ThreeListThursday #TLT

It's hilarious!
It‘s spring break for the kids this week so we went on a little mountain retreat. My reading spot got a bit of an upgrade.
A day out at Wyre Forest. A picnic was packed, the dogs jumped in the stream and the girls let off steam. My feet hurt now!

Harmon who? We know who the winner was in this situation.
Life has been extremely hard & I have been struggling to keep up & everything is now crashing down. I have until Monday to come up with my rent for this month or I am being evicted. My daughter & I have nowhere to go & any state help is already exhausted for the first quarter so I can‘t get help.
If you can please donate to my kofi, I also offer some commission art, any help would be a blessing

1. Six of Crows & its sequel, The Prospects by KT Hoffman, Past Present Future by Rachel Lynn Solomon and Going Postal by Terry Pratchett (again!) About the characters and the insights for all of these.
2. There are 11 I bothered to note down. I'm regretful about Compound Fracture, which has such an interesting main character. The others I was just meh about.

1. So thrilled for you by Holly Borne 5🌟
2. None so far!
Thanks so much @CSeydel and congratulations again on your milestone! 🎉🎉🎉
Trying my luck with Pango, I started listing today, so if anyone in the US is shopping for some new to them books - often I get books then listen to them on audio so many of the ones listed have not even been read!
If any Pango sellers have any advice would love to hear it!
You can see the books here: https://pangobooks.com/bookstore/chaoticreadingadventures
