1. Go to a tearoom and visit with my BFF from high school whom I haven't seen in 20+ years and go to Costco to get epilepsy medicine for my dog Pippa.
2. Depending on the book and other responsibilities, 1-? hours. 🤩
3. I'd write the great American novel, of course. No wait, that's already been written, right? What is it? Anyone want to give a thought? Mine: HUCK FINN.
Have a lovely week, everybody. 💚💙💚
The first in The Coffee Loft series, which is a series of novellas featuring/set around a chain of coffee stores. I first heard of this series when @Graciouswarriorprincess posted about it a few days ago and downloaded the first immediately from KU.
It‘s a cute, very short story in which Deanna gets divorced, moves, and opens a franchised store in her hometown, reconnecting with a past love in the process. Only ~60 pgs. I wish it was longer!
#MotivationalMonday @Cupcake12
1️⃣ Give my horse a hair trim and a good scrub in prep for the horse show this weekend. Other than that just work and hopefully an extra riding lesson.
2️⃣ I have been keeping a journal so that is easy to calculate. 8.5 hours per day.
3️⃣ SciFi or Poetry because I love these genres.
#motivationalmonday
1. Go to the hospital for a scan and make up Easter treat bags for the girls 🐣
2. Work days around an hour, days at home around 2 hours 📕
3. I‘d have a go at atoning rom-com as I‘d be awful at writing about anything else 🤣
Have a great day everyone ❤️
You are all tagged 💕
The third bookstore we visited was Three Lives and Company in Greenwich Village
Several BookTubers have stated that The Redemption of Galen Pike is the best short story collection they‘ve ever read
Lauren over on Lauren and the Books had Dominoes in her prediction video for the Women‘s Prize for Fiction Longlist and the blurb sound intriguing
The same goes for Martyr which also has an interesting blurb
The second bookish place we visited was Bibliotheque in SoHo
This is a bookstore, cafe and wine bar. It was very dark inside so hard to get a look at the titles, but probably perfect if you‘re there to sit down
I ended up with this one. Simon Savidge over on SavidgeReads on YouTube has been raving about this series

Whomp whomp. This is how my kobo has looked since Thursday. It is not, in fact, connected or charging, as you might be able to tell by, y'know, the lack of plug... Right when I downloaded a bunch of new things cause the Nebula finalists were announced, too. On the bright side, a shiny new toy (kobo elipsa 2e) is on its way to me and I'm excited to test it out!
Diving into my latest edition of Oh Reader magazine. I love this quarterly #bookish magazine. This is one of my favorite treats to myself.

So in audio the Bombay book went back before I finished, so it's on hold again. Currently listening to the Undertakers Assistant . Reading The Lion from library, not sure if I'll finish. Sisters Sweet is my kindle book as soon as it charges(I had it charging but it says low battery so it might be dying on me). I just finished Vera Wong, review coming!
I picked up these packages today but I don‘t know if they arrived yesterday or Thursday because I picked up various packages. They are #LitsyFoundFamilySwap @KateReadsYA and #TravelingStars2024 @wanderinglynn

Not necessarily my best nonfiction but I haven‘t read many nonfiction books recently. So these are some books I enjoyed.
1. Memorial Drive A Daughter‘s Memoir by Natasha Trethewey
2. Born To Run by Christopher McDoygall
3. Paso a Paso Por El Camino Santiago (like a memoir- about this person experience doing this journey). By Silverio Pérez
Thank you @TheSpineView 🥰
@Read4life You said you wanted to see my new Kindle Oasis cover.... here it is! It came today while I was at the office. My favorite color purple! I will add a sticker or two at some point. I hope this lasts longer. The other one I had was cracking and chunks were coming off around the spine. 💜📖📚
On its way to you, @TheBookHippie ! So excited for #LitsyFoundFamilySwap opening day! Thanks, @KateReadsYA 😊
It is time to nominate a book to be our April selection for #LitsySciFiBookClub Do you have one that has been on your shelf too long or one you heard about. Nominate it! Please Nominate only one and stick to the Sci-Fi genre though subcategories are OK.
If you wish to be added or removed from the tag list, let me know. Thanks!

That Thing You Brew is such a sweet romance between tough hockey player Xavier who happens to be a barron after his OPA passes away & the stuttering brewer of his lucky coffee, Penny. This sweet love story is like a freshly brewed cup of coffee-just right and so needed in the world today! I laughed, cried & routed for Xavier and Penny all the way! These two characters will stick with me as will the story.
Book 51 of the year.

3️⃣ In high school I wanted to be a park ranger until I found out it was almost impossible for women to get a job in the field. That has changed. It was my Dad who pushed me towards accounting. My graduate and undergrad degrees are both in accounting.
Want to play? @dabbe @Read4life @BookmarkTavern @JessClark78 @PageShifter
When my sons were little, they played a soccer video game that had such great world music. We listened to it for many years, but I had all forgotten about it until Leftcoastzen shared Say Hey (I Love You). I thought I would share this playlist for all to enjoy. #tuesdaytunes. https://spotify.link/rnE8RS5rVHb
Who else loves minimalist, but aesthetic notebooks?…
Do you use planners/journals to record and review your reads?
I typically use Goodnotes for reviews and have recently discovered Storygraph for tracking & stats.
But nothing beats a physical notebook and the actual act of writing!
💖

Finally getting around to reading some Christmas presents. @britt_brooke knows how much I love Dolly. This is a small, beautiful book full of color photos, quotes from Dolly, & tidbits about her life. Not in Litsy's data base yet. It was lovely. Of course it was. It's Dolly. ☺ Rose approves. #catsofLitsy
This was a very sweet, short audible listen (not in the database). Enemies to friends to maybe more, but Will is hesitant to reveal to Ben that he's trans for fear of his reaction. Cute story, with a bookstore setting and fun characters.
