Site Overview
Litsy is a social site for book lovers. Available on the web and as an app, members use Litsy to share their love of reading with one another. Book Riot summed us up perfectly as "if Instagram and Goodreads Had a Perfect Baby."
How Litsy Works
Members create posts about books as one of three types: reviews, quotes, or blurbs. Members can comment on each other’s posts, see all posts about a specific book, and start conversations about what they are reading. The strong community often hosts informal book swaps, themed reading events, and goal-oriented readathons.
Who’s Behind Litsy?
Litsy was founded in 2015 by Jeff Lawton and Todd Lawton, co-founders of Out of Print. LibraryThing, the people behind LibraryThing.com, TinyCat, LibraryThing for Libraries and co-creator of Syndetics Unbound, purchased Litsy in 2018.
