The last time I bought a comic book was 20 years ago when I used to follow the X-Men comics with a kind of obsession. I couldn't afford them back then so dad was buying me the comics and our weekend trips always included a stop at the comic store. I miss those days. I got tired eventually, I moved to other hobbies. I still update myself once in a while, because there are characters I'm still invested in. A spoiler had me rushing back.
whimsy Back when I bought these books, the new releases don't get here right away, there's usually a week or so delay and so I just check weekly to ask. I don't usually call because I have phone shyness, and back then it was hard to ask a stranger if they had the latest issue on this thing you are obsessed about, in fears of being judged. When 6y
whimsy Safe to say, buying a comic then and now has a staggering difference. New releases are out same time as the US and people can reserve them a week before. That they have updated FB and websites is just so astounding to me??? So the issue I was hunting (with the cover I want because apparently there are 5 different covers now for these things) was sold out when I got there. My sister very luckily found a copy afterwards. 6y
whimsy ACTUAL SPOILERS: MY CHILDHOOD COUPLE ARE MARRIED. I WAITED FOURTEEN YEARS. THAT I LIVE TO SEE THIS DAY AT ALL. It's still in its spoilerproof bag. ^^ 6y
