On the surface, this book has it all...and yet...I found my mind wandering whilst listening to this and generally not that into it, no matter how many self-admonishments I gave myself. Overall, I wanted to like this more than I actually did.

There are elements in this book that totally worked for me and a few that fizzled...as in they felt unnecessary to me. They felt like the author was trying to be TOO relevant. Overall, I recommend this book for teens that are high school age, because it deals with mature themes, and parents of teens and basically anyone else with a connection to teens.

Wow! This book...this is a Reread on Audio. Emily Shaffer absolutely brought Tierney to life...she was perfect. I'm so glad I experienced this book in both reading and listening formats. This book is a lot of things...dubious, challenging, frustrating, darkly horrifying, curing, wonderful, loving, saddening, hopeful & most of all empowering. ⇣⇣⇣

canwetalkaboutaudiobooks The Grace Year has earned a spot as one of my favorites of all time and I don't think I will ever forget it. I especially won't forget how it made me feel by the time I finished it. I was stunned, with everything that happens, and...So. Much. Happens. This one has all the feels, from the good to the bad, and everything in between.

I was in the mood for some dark romance...this ended up fitting the bill even though it wasn't quite as dark as I thought it was going to be. I found the backstory of the Hero to be rather compelling...and the narration by both Jacob Morgan & Lauren Sweet was phenomenal.

At 278 pages, this is a short book...and yet it felt like it dragged on and on. Since I despised every character in this book, they were all so overly dramatic and pompous that no matter how much I tried I couldn't get into the story...I think I only finished it...in hopes that they would all die in the end.

The narration was amazingly performed. Each of them did the voice of the little girl so well, that I believe Charlie is my favorite character in this story. Since the rich guy, poor girl schtick isn't really my thing, Charlie's character really won me over, that and her interactions with both MC's.

THIS MORTAL COIL SERIES is smartly written, with an exceptional plot-line...it surprised me with the many twists and turns it takes throughout, it's definitely not predictable and I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who likes science fiction. The science in this series gets significantly more confusing with each book...but it may have something to do with the fact that I had more than a year in between each book.

canwetalkaboutaudiobooks So, therefore, I recommend this series being read/listened to all in one shot.

A timely read that could be all too real...the most interesting aspect of this book is being able to see through the eyes of each girl and knowing their thoughts throughout.
