Finished this one before Christmas and forgot to post a review. Having sat on it for awhile I feel somewhat less forgiving. It's not that it's bad (though it kinda is) but that it kinda made me enjoy it against my will. The writing is extremely readable with a driven, highly entertaining narrative but ... predictable much? Guess that's my main beef with romance, you know exactly where it's going. Not as good as The Loop.

Tonight's read, bought for 25p from the book stall at a garden party in aid of Marie Curie nurses ... approximately 7 years ago. I read The Loop and really liked it but wasn't as keen on The Horse Whisperer. It's a biggish book - 500+ pages - so I suspect this one will be my last one of 2018. The Christmas activities are starting & my reading time is being sacrificed! 😡😂
