Palmer Knight, a fast-rising TV news correspondent, is sent to cover a mysterious death of a senator who jumps from a cliff in Maine,. Army veteran and former Supreme Court, Amity Jones, finds herself enmeshed in a political conspiracy and ultimately into Palmer's investigation of the senator's death. This is a political book that did not disappoint.

EadieB It it a medical research of what to do to save a loved one. It is a plot that takes us on a roller coaster ride as we weave through a conspiracy to figure out who is behind the death. If you like political thrillers then you will love to read this one. I would like to thank NetGalley and P.G. Putnam Sons for a copy for an honest review. 10h

I loved this book. Beatriz marries Rodolfo Solorzano for security but when she arrives at his house The Hacienda, she quickly realizes that Rodolfo's first wife's ghost never left & she's in a lot of trouble.

I have finished a book!! Though it did take me twice as long as normal🫤 Bk1 of #MarvellousMay #readathon is done. The authors latest novel, it was a standalone & set in the US instead of Ireland. Very diabolical, an unreliable MC & it turns out, unreliable characters everywhere. It‘s very twisty with grey motives abounding all over the place. A very nice read. And my #Bookspin for May #Booked2022 #MakeYourOwnPrompt #BookspinBingo #Pop22

Cinfhen Yay!!!! Glad you‘re getting your #ReadingMoJo back ❤️❤️ 18h

Vansa The horse and his boy has always been my favourite Narnia book. I love the weaving in of Arabian nights themed fantasy into this. And I like the subverting of tropes, that flighty, chirpy Lasaraleen, when it comes down to it, shows immense bravery to help her friend. 17h
imyril I've always had a soft spot for these two although I suspect I'd have a lot of eyeroll these days for the way Lewis depicts the Calormenes. Nephew is the one that has stayed with me - I have always found Jadis unusual as a children's fantasy villain and appreciated her all the more for it; and Uncle Andrew is just nastier and better observed the older I get. Such small-minded and very human sins all round (however big Jadis's ambitions!) 14h
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!!! The Narnia series is a favorite of mine. 11h

Super creepy and very atmospheric read. Some parts even genuinely scared me. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Wowowowow. Can‘t really say much about this without spoiling it but it‘s really tragic and really creepy. Reminds me of one of my fave movies but I can‘t say which or it gives away a major spoiler. My only complaint is how much it dragged after the climax.

This one was just ok. Good character development, great narrator, but middle of the road storyline. Nothing particularly new or different from other similar small town/village, retired cop helping an underdog solve a possible crime stories. Not bad just didn‘t really care about what happened. But it was my May #bookspin for #bookspinbingo so yay! 🌟🌟🌟

This novel was nominated for the 2022 Aurora Best Novel award and the entire series was nominated for a 2022 Hugo award.

I liked this final book very much but it didn't amaze me the way Witchmark, the first book, did.

Second book finished for #MarvellousMay and another on my #BookSpinBingo card! @Andrew65 @TheAromaofBooks

Great info here. Not all of it was new, but presented in a way to make you think about food and consumption and how it affects both your health and the health of the planet. A great reference book to have on your shelf! Making headway on my bingo board! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
