This was a quick, interesting read. Clavin did his best to separate the man from the many myths about him. I found it most interesting to learn how quickly the west and country as a whole had changed over Hickcok‘s 39 years. Hickok had a bold style of dispensing the law that had become outdated by his death. I‘d love if there had been more insight into the man himself, but I get the vibe he wasn‘t much for sharing his feelings.

This was a nice spooky ghost story with a very sweet main character. Not amazing, but a nice quick read. 3.5⭐️

This was ok. It was entertaining. The goddess of winter is made mortal to learn some key lessons. The cover is gorgeous imo.

This was such a fun coffee table book!

This book is just like the title suggests, good movies as old books. Essentially, movies turned into vintage book covers. The term “good movies” is subjective. The author states in his introduction, “These are films that made me laugh, cry, think, question, and celebrate” (pg. 7).

I‘ve often found spot-on advice from Jackson Galaxy‘s YouTube channel whenever I‘ve had any cat issues. Remember him from TV‘s Cat from Hell? Now I‘m learning so much more from his book: How to better understand Frost‘s natural instincts, how to read Frost‘s body language, how litterbox size does matter…especially with older cats. And the most important lesson of all: To always remember my husband & I are living in Frost‘s home! 😸

I kind of want this to win the Women's Prize. I do think The Safekeep is better and still have no idea why it didn't win the Booker.

How well do you actually know your best friends? Maybe not as good as you think. Three best friends go on a weekend trip to the Hamptons. They put a note on a car, but what happens next they never expected. I thought this was going to be better. It didn't keep my attention like I thought it would. I have been sick, so that could probably be it, bc I usually really like Burke's books.
